PESACH IS COMING TO MOUNT KISCO!

 

Please note:  The Shul is cleaned for Pesach.  No one may bring ANY food into the Shul. 

 

Rebbetzin Greer's Shabbat Hagadol Class: Rebbetzin Greer will host her monthly class on Shabbat Hagadol, April 13 at 12:15 PM.  She will lead a discussion about the seder.

If you would like a hard copy of the Guide, please contact the office at office@mkhc.org or at (914) 242-7460.   The guide lists many products that are kosher for Passover as well as a brief synopsis of the laws of kashering.

Selling Chametz:

Forms will may also be picked up at the shul office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM

In order to properly sell your Chometz this year, please fill out the form and arrange a meeting with Rabbi Greer.

Rabbi Greer will be available during these times:

Wednesday, April 10 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM 

Sunday, April 14 from 8:45 AM to 10:30 AM

Tuesday, April 16 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Wednesday, April 17 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

If these times do not work, please call Rabbi Greer at 516-737-7780

Further times for the week before Pesach will be posted in the near future.

Ta'anit Bechorot: On Ta'anit Bechorot "Fast of the Firstborn" we will have a minyan for Shachrit at 7:00 AM.  This will be followed by a Siyum, a conclusion of a tractate of Talmud and a festive breakfast that will enable all those who are firstborn to absolve themselves of fasting on the day before Pesach.   We are honored that our gabbai, Dr. Morris Glassman, as well as Moshe Chaim Greer, will each conclude a tractate of Talmud.  The celebration will take place on April 19, at 7:45 AM.  This will be followed by a communal burning of the chametz.  Stay tuned for more details.

Burning Chametz: Bring your chametz to a lively fire in front of the shul @ 10:30- 11:30 AM

Pesach Seder: Please reserve your place at the MKHC Communal Seder with Rabbi and Rebbetzin Greer and their family.  The seder will be held on Saturday evening, April 20th, at The Village Library, Mount Kisco, NY at 100 Main Street in Mount Kisco.  The seder will start at 8:30 PM.  Please reserve your spot through our website at mkhc.org.  There is a nominal reservation fee of $25 per person or $72 for an entire family.  Sponsorship opportunities are available through the website.  We are grateful to Peter and Susan Grunthal for their sponsorship of this evening.
