CENTURY-OLD MOUNT KISCO HEBREW CONGREGATION MOVES FORWARD WITH IN-PERSON HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES 2020/5781
In August 2020, the Village of Mount Kisco approved the request of Mount Kisco Hebrew Congregation (MKHC), founded in 1906, to erect a large tent on the parking lot of the Mount Kisco Justice Court at 40 Green Street for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. The congregation, whose long history includes weathering the 1918 pandemic, felt after a poll of its members that there was a strong desire to meet in person for services in a safe, socially distanced outdoor setting.
CONNECTING DURING COVID-19
MKHC TEFILLAH MEETINGS AND CLASSES ARE CONTINUING!
We are currently holding Shabbat morning services in-person. Registration is required to attend. Help us make a minyan!
Though our physical shul is closed other than Shabbat morning, that doesn't mean we can't continue learning together!
Through the use of Zoom, MKHC has set up multiple opportunities to meet weekly for learning and connection, which will allow anyone and everyone to join in on events and continue learning as usual. Visit our calendar Click here to go to CALENDAR

Weekly Classes
Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM, Rabbi Dov Greer teaches a half-hour class on tefillah. We explore a different part of our prayer, discuss its origin and its deeper meaning.
Monday evenings at 7:30 PM, Rabbi Dov Greer leads a discussion of a mitzvah mentioned in the previous week's parsha. We briefly review the primary components of the mitzvah and then attempt to analyze the reason behind the mitzvah. What lesson does G-d desire we should derive from this particular commandment?
Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM, BYOL (Bring Your Own L'Chaim) Event
Rabbi Betzalel Alpert’s class for men exploring and discussing Jewish philosophy. Join us for a fantastic analysis of Jewish philosophy and thought while sipping a cold l’chaim or soda. Please join at our MKHC “zoom” Beit Medrash.
If you would like to be added to our weekly email reminder for any of these classes, please email rabbi@mkhc.org, write which class you would like to be reminded of, and we will add you to our weekly reminder list. Each class has a separate "captain", who emails out a weekly message and keeps everyone up to date in case of a cancelation or temporary schedule change.
Looking forward to "seeing" you soon!
