Upcoming Events!

  • Rabbi Alpert's class for men WILL NOT meet on Thursday, March 28 and at MKHC

  • PURIM IS COMING TO THE VILLAGE!!!!   On Wednesday evening, March 20 we will read the Purim story at 7:30 PM and enjoy a boutique wine tasting and a magician for the youngsters!  On Thursday, March 22, we will host an early-bird "quick" megillah reading from 7:30-7:50 AM followed by Shachrit at 8:00 AM and gourmet breakfast and megillah reading at 8:45 AM.  More details to follow.

Everyone is invited to come in costume in celebration of the joyous holiday of Purim.  But please note when choosing costumes to be mindful of the sanctity of the synagogue and the feelings of others.

  • PESACH IS AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!
    • All are invited to the MKHC community seder led by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Greer.  The seder will be at the Mount Kisco Village Library at 100 Main Street, Mount Kisco, and will start at 8:30 PM on Saturday evening, April 20.   
    • Please reserve your place at the seder through our website at mkhc.org by April 10. 
    • Please note that you must reserve a place in order to attend.   MKHC is grateful to Peter and Susan Grunthal for their generous sponsorship of the seder.  Other sponsorship opportunities are available.
    • We will soon have sale of chometz info available.  Stay tuned for details.

Please note:  In preparation for Pesach, all personal items should be removed from the coat room before Sunday, March 24.  This includes any siddurim and talleisim. Any item left will be assumed to be ownerless.  After the room is cleaned, you are welcome to "restock" your cubbies with your personal items.

 

  • SAVE THE DATE!  On April 5-6 we will welcome back the YU Torah Ambassadors.  Everyone is invited to join for an evening of lively discussion, great food and comradery on Friday night April 5.  More exciting plans are in the works for this Shabbat.

Upcoming Kiddush Sponsorships

  • On Shabbat Parshat Hachodesh, April 6, Kiddush will be sponsored by Ronnie and Nancy Gurman in memory of the yahrtzeit of his mother, Fannie Gurman z”l.
  • Kiddush on the first day of Pesach, April 20, will be sponsored by Kenny and Kim Ackerman in memory of Kenny's grandparents, Aaron and Adele Ackerman.  May their neshamos have an aliyah.
