New this year: Tuesday classes will focus on Hebrew Immersion. Nurit Avigdor will lead these sessions. Ms. Avigdor is from Israel and taught an Ulpan for Israeli soldiers new to Israel. The focus will be on Hebrew reading, modern Hebrew words, and learning Hebrew through song. Ms. Avigdor has also taught Hebrew School for many years.
We are excited to welcome Morah Rochel Kaplan, the wife of Rabbi David Kaplan. Ms. Kaplan is a veteran teacher who brings her experience and creative skills to our classrooms. Our beloved Rabbi Kaplan will be joining us again this year. Rabbi Goldscheider will teach the Bar/Bat Mitzvah class on Tuesday evenings.
MKHC Hebrew School is part of the ToTal Hebrew School Network which
offers a mulit-dimensional traditional Hebrew School program. It teaches Hebrew
reading and educates children on the ethics of Jewish history
and tradition. Our experienced child-development professionals teach your
child to understand their Jewish identity and grow spiritually. Our Hebrew School serves the towns of Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, Bedford, Armonk and the rest of Northern Westchester. MKHC membership is not required for school registration.
